The following projects are listed as proprietary projects. Each were a set length contract in which I worked on specific projects for either new hires, current employees, or interns. Each project came with it's own challenges, rewards, learnings, and use of different platforms and tools for creation. All projects followed the ADDIE method of Instructional Design and Development.
This ILT project is a revamp of existing PPTs for updates, more engagement, and a new look for pilot training. Working with a pilot within LFN, together we tackled this project and brought it to life. The revamp was done in PowerPoint with more moving pieces, a brighter, more updated look, and more in-depth coverage of the components of the EC135 helicopter used by LFN. Working with a SME and the operator manual, we updated any content that was out of date or inaccurate in the prior training.
This ongoing contract consists of a revamp to major ground and flight nurse eLearning trainings. Using storyboards created by SMEs within ASTNA, online trainings were created covering pediatrics and trauma, using Articulate Storyline and Rise, Wellsaid Labs audio, Camtasia video, and Vyond animation. This particular revamp covered pediatrics and trauma.
During this eight month contract with Life Flight Network, I worked with existing ILT content transitioning them to eLearning. This transition consisted of creating over 20 courses in both Rise and Storyline, using Camtasia, Vyond, and Wellsaid Labs.
The new eLearning courses are meant for clinician new hires such as, EMTs, paramedics, and nurses, for both ground and flight transport Each course consists of learning objectives and learning checks to guarantee the learning objectives were met.
This 9+ month contract consisted of creating several non-academic onboarding eLearning courses within the Canvas LMS. These courses were geared towards new hires for the User Support IT Service Desk. The challenge for this course was taking the current, outdated, non engaging course and adding in a much needed customer service element, along with incorporating video; both Vyond animation and Camtasia, interactions, learning checks, along with reading and writing assignments.
Each module also incorporated an activity for hands on training with real life tasks the learner's new role entails. This course was such a success, the contract was extended for seven more non-academic IT courses for the UMN. Some additional courses that were created for the IT team included; Google Basics and Identity and Access Management.
During this 12 month contract with Critical Mass, I created 16 Onboarding eLearning courses for new hires and interns including courses such as The Creative Brief, Media, Copywrite, and Introduction to Critical Mass. These courses were intended to introduce each new hire to the world of marketing. Typically, the audience had little to no background with the marketing world.
These courses are housed on the Udemy.com LMS platform and features Vyond animation, Camtasia video, along with slide decks, and recorded webinars on each topic. Leaners also had to complete a Learning Check for each course before moving to the next course.
This 13 month contract with Intuit was spent creating 19 eLearning courses for QuickBooks Sales Consultants to education on the systems and tools used by businesses. The authoring platform was Articulate Rise, along with tools such as, Vyond video, Camtasia video, Google Slide decks, and image creation. Course titles included, Business CRM, Slack, Zoom, Google Tools for Business, and many more.
I also worked on reworking older QuickBooks courses to update materials to current best practices and applicable statistics.
This five month contract entailed incorporating storyboard content created by designers and developing them into Articulate Storyline for eLearning teacher training. The subjects included Math and ESL for K-12 teachers within the Chicago Public Schools district. This was at the height of the pandemic and I helped assist converting teacher training from in VILT and ILT into eLearning.
This short contract consisted of assisting a SalesForce partner with content around a specific CRM Loyalty Rewards Program. The content for this course already existed, so the task was to organize and develope it into an Articulate Rise eLearning course. For this project, I also used WellSaid Labs for audio, Camtasia, and Vyond Animation.
